People in Darkness

People in darkness are wont to see darkness. And yet darkness does not exist. There is only light. Darkness is the perceived absence or nonexistence of light. Darkness is the nonexistence of light and all nonexistence is alike. People are inclined to see that darkness, that nonexistence, that we call not having which is the nonexistence of having.

What is the essence of insanity? Seeing something that isn’t really there, something that does not exist, and then proceeding as though it were real. It is total insanity to try to eradicate what does not exist.

Most government policy is driven by perceptions of the nonexistent. People perceiving that folks don’t have enough of this or have enough of that. And then they go to war against the darkness of not having. The results are always counterproductive.

These people of darkness see darkness. They are so conscious of the darkness called not having that even when their own lives are filled with major abundance they are still focused on the perception of not having.
The person of light is busy appreciating the beauty and abundance all around him. He sees, appreciates, produces, enjoys and does what he can to help those he encounters.
People of darkness are on a crusade to eradicate the darkness that fills their souls. They make the mistake of trying to do this be warring against the darkness that they perceive, but which does not exist, outside of themselves. They are focused on eliminating not having. Not having jobs, money, healthcare, opportunity, ability, happiness, whatever. Can't be done. All they can do is destroy what there is of these and increase the experience of not having.
It is the misguided people of darkness who are crusading against the darkness in their souls that they project onto the world. Where there is light they see darkness. They manage to assume the mantle of moral superiority because they appear to be so caring. It has nothing to do with being caring and morally superior. They live in darkness and are need to fight the darkness.

All attempts to fight destroy darkness are counterproductive. Insanity is seeing what doesn’t exist as real and as something to fight. Government policy is increasingly being driven by the perception of the darkness of not having. These people see not having everywhere and are determined to destroy it. They marshal the full force and might of their governments to attempt to destroy the bogeymen of their minds. In a world of having and only having they see not having. This insanity can only lead to more misery and the greater experience and awareness of darkness/not having.
